Maizura was admitted to the Honourable Society Lincoln's Inn in 1992 and was called to the Bar and admitted as Advocates & Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya in 1993. Prior to establishing the firm Messrs LOPE MAIZURA, she was the founding partner of the legal firm Messrs Maizura Juliana Associates.

Maizura specialises in the field of corporate and commercial law with focus on investment, technology acquisition, project finance and development. She has negotiated and concluded agreements on behalf of the Government of Malaysia, government owned and government linked companies, the Malaysian public universities as well as local and foreign companies in relation to projects being undertaken both locally and abroad.

Maizura's corporate advisory experience includes listing of companies on Bursa Malaysia, transfer of listing of companies, due diligence exercises which form part of corporate exercises, applications under section 176 of the Companies Act, 1965, corporate debt restructuring, trust deeds option agreements and employee share option schemes.

Maizura is experienced in the construction sector and attends to the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, development agreements, master documents for residential and commercial projects, sale and purchase agreements, as well as construction contract disputes.
